The Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation (IDPR) is searching for an individual to serve as a member on the Off Road Motor Vehilcle (ORMV) Grant Advisory Committee.
The individual will represent non-motorized interest on this committee to provide balance. The indivual must also reside in regions 1 or 2 in Idaho (view map)
The ORMV program was created to provide facilities, trail improvements, and law enforcement for off-highway vehicle users. Since these vehicles (snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles, UTV’s and off-highway motorcycles) use gasoline but do not use highways, 0.84% (percent) of the state gasoline tax goes into this fund. The money goes back to snowmobilers, off-highway motorcycle riders, and ATV riders in the form of grants to government agencies who meet strict criteria for maintenance and operation of facilities.
All projects are reviewed by the ORMV Fund Advisory Committee, which makes recommendations to the Idaho Park and Recreation Board for final approval.
