Tuesday December 5, Meeting of the Panhandle Nordic Club. Program: Skate Skiing Techniques by Dwight. Cookie Exchange: bring 2 dozen cookies. 6 PM for dinner if you have a dinner reservation, Meeting at 7 PM. Pay your dues and buy your Park and Ski sticker.

Saturday, January 13, 2018-Cross county Ski Day Trip at Farragut State Park.  Pass needed at $5.00 per car (or your annual pass) 1, 3,  and 5 mile loops.

Saturday December 30 at 10 AM in Wallace, ID- “Winterfest Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes Cross Country Ski. Geoff Harvey will lead skiers on a portion of this trail. Meet at the Wallace Depot 216 6th St., Wallace Idaho. Phone Geoff -208-762-1246..

Tuesday January 2, 2018 Panhandle Nordic Meeting at Avondale Golf Club. “Gear and Clothing Essentials for Winter Sports”.

January 6, Saturday — Best Hand Fun Ski or Snowshoe at 4th of July Rec. Area. Signup at 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM.    Donations for prizes and volunteers wanted.
The Panhandle Nordic Cross Country Ski and Snowshoe Club will be hosting its 27th Annual “Best Hand Fun Ski” on Saturday, January 6 at the 4th of July Recreation Area. That date is also the “Idaho Free Ski Day” and no parking pass will be required. This is the Club’s annual fundraiser to support grooming and trail maintenance work at the 4th of July. Prizes are donated by members and local merchants.

January 19 & 20, Friday-Saturday — Palouse Divide Lodge overnight snowshoe/ski trip
Leaders: Vera Taggart/Janice Purdy
Expected Cost: $75.00 per person, which includes Dinner and Breakfast provided by staff.  Access to ski trail and snowshoeing plus sledding hill.   There are microwaves/ refrig. for lunch, etc. Beds are single.  Expect to share room.  Up to 4 in a room. Bathrooms are shared. Bring you own alcoholic beverage if desired, plus bring snacks to share in the evening. Bring games for the evening if you have them.

Saturday January 27-Rock Soup Ski/Snowshoe and Potluck at 4th of July Rec. Area

January 26, 27, and 28th – Banff Film festival at the Kroc Center Advanced tickets are usually necessary from the Kroc as these sell out.

Ski Lessons and Snowshoe Outings to be Announced.

Snowshoe “Adventure” several mile Day Trip on the Ski and Shoe Trail at 4th of July. Date to be announced– A Sunday in January or February. Leader Suzanne Marshall and Mike Marvinny

Tuesday, April 3, Avondale,  Meeting at 7 PM. (no dinner) Planning for Summer Activities: bring your ideas for hikes, biking and float trips.
